CONNECTION GROUP QUESTIONS

Connection Group Builders

  1. What would you like to praise or thank God for?

  2. What is the farthest place from home that youve gone to on vacation?

  3. When you go on vacation how much do you change your schedule (Do you still workout if you workout? Do you eat at different times? Do you still get up early if you typically do that?)?

Sermon Questions

  1. Read through Philippians 1:27-30.

  2. How would you say most countries view American tourists? Do you think Americans act differently at home than on vacation?

  3. Paul wrote that above all the Philippian believers must live as citizens of heaven. Share what you think a citizen of heaven should be like. Do you think Christians sometimes change their practices when they are away from church? In what ways? Why?

  4. Think about how you live your life. Share how Sunday's sermon challenged you. In what areas of your life were you challenged to grow? Let go of? Add?

  5. In this passage, Paul's hope was that when he saw his brothers and sisters again they would be standing together, fighting together, suffering together, and struggling together. What difference does it make that all of these action words are to be done "together" as the body of Christ, rather than only individually? In what ways can you and your group help High Pointe do these things together?
